It plays like the age-old classic Bejeweled with a couple tweaks. There’s next to no difficulty curve since no new tiles or mechanics are introduced throughout, but you are forced to become better quickly as your target score climbs with each date you go on. You can get items that help in the tile-matching, and this is where it gets interesting to me. See, you need cash to buy presents for the girls to get items to use on dates. You earn cash by going on dates. So you use the cash that you earn on dates to buy items for girls to give you upgrade points for your abilities to make it easier to score well on dates. It’s circular, but in a good way.
At higher levels you really do have to slow down and carefully plan out your moves, thinking two or more steps ahead so as not to run out of moves before you hit the target. Then when you pull a girl for the night the game changes a bit. You have unlimited moves and no negative tiles, but your score constantly ticks down so you have to move quickly and just do whatever’s in front of you.
It really is a well designed, fun puzzle game. And the wildly NSFW art in the free patch (thank you devs, you’re the best) are the icing on top. Kindle dmg.
